Petty knife with natural Osage Orange Wa Handle in 52100 Complex high carbon steel blade, Buffed forge with hammer peaned finish. 2 - 1/8" nickel silver pins. Custom Kydex knife transporter is included.
The CPM154 blade steel on this knife will take and hold an edge extremely well. Honesuki, also called kitchen utility or Petty knives, are a great size and shape for many tasks, smaller chopping and larger paring tasks to start.
Note: This knife is made with 52100 High Carbon Steel and will rust if it is left wet, dirty, or in any moist area. It must be cleaned and dried immediately after use. It will develop a patina in time and with cutting. If you like shiny knives, or do not wish to worry about the care of this knife, please consider a Stainless Steel knife. Chef's love high carbon blades because they sharpen easier and faster, and take a superior edge. Having said that, they are like cast iron and need a little more attention.

Special Notes: This knife is made with a high carbon steel, this means it must be kept clean and dry and will develop a patina over time. Also the handle is a natural wood, as in it has not been stabilized and will need to soaked in mineral oil once or twice a year to ensure the longevity of the handle.
